Roof Tents and Roof Racks for Cars

Roof tents can be installed on most passenger cars and vans, as long as they are compatible with roof racks. If you’re unsure whether your vehicle is suitable, feel free to reach out to us with your car’s brand, model, and year for assistance.
Almost every car can accommodate roof racks, but there are different mounting types to consider, such as railings, fixed points, or directly on the car’s roof. If you need help selecting the right roof racks for your car, please provide your car’s brand, model, and year before making a purchase. Reach out to us either on the Contact From or in Chat.
Roof racks typically support around 75kg, which is enough for a roof tent weighing between 60-68kg. This weight limit applies while driving, but when stationary, roof racks can handle over 300kg, allowing for additional weight from occupants.
A roof tent may slightly increase your car’s fuel consumption, but not significantly. The increase will depend on your driving speed, with higher speeds causing a more significant impact.
When driving with a roof tent installed, it’s advised not to exceed 120 km/h (75 mph). Ensure the roof tent is properly installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions for safety.
Yes, you can leave sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, and sleeping clothes inside the tent when it’s closed. However, ensure the bedding is arranged properly and not left in the tent’s corners to avoid damaging the folding mechanism.
